Central Library, Belfast
As a result of an architectural competition between 1883-88 came one of the most distinctive and grandest buildings in Belfast.
The French styled Belfast Central Library is right at the heart of the city's culture. A four storey literature haven that is, without doubt, among the best in Britain.
HBK Architects provided designs for a section of the library now used to house a new issue desk, children's computer suite and public Cafe.
